My beloved sisters and brothers in Christ,
Beginning Sunday, July 18, the following changes in our procedures for in-person worship will be in place:
With these revisions in our in-person worship procedures we are seeing a gradual return to normalcy, which we gladly welcome. Let me again share with you how deeply and sincerely grateful I am for those of you who have endured the last sixteen months of pandemic and its impact on our parish with extraordinary patience, understanding, encouragement, cooperation, and, yes, grace! I praise and thank God for those of you who have faithfully stood by this, your church! Our life as a community of faith continues because of you! So I salute you!
In Christ's Love,
Father Tom+
Beginning Sunday, July 18, the following changes in our procedures for in-person worship will be in place:
- no longer do you need to be at the church by 9:55 am.
- although you are encouraged to enter the church at the side entrance, you may now enter also at the front entrance on Federal Street.
- you may sit where you wish in the sanctuary. Ushers won't be seating you.
- for now, the Passing of the Peace won't involve hugging or shaking hands.
- you may place your offering in the plate in the side vestibule as you arrive or in the plate in front of the choir loft as you approach the altar to receive the Holy Communion.
- receiving the Holy Communion, for now, is unchanged. You will be directed to the altar by the usher. After receiving the host, please return to your pew by the side aisle and commune yourself in the pew.
- you may depart Mass by either entrance, although I will be at the Federal Street entrance to greet worshippers.
