"The Feeding Goes On!"
A ministry of God's love, a ministry of food, a ministry of compassion for the neighbor continues each Thursday at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in the town of Milton. From 11 am until 1:00 pm nutritious lunches are prepared for every child, and the adults with them, who come to our parking lot at the intersection of Federal and Wharton Streets. A bag lunch, consisting of two sandwiches, a piece of fruit, a dessert, and bottled water, is freely and happily given! For four summers now, "Sandwich Thursdays," this outreach of love and joy continues, in these times more than ever. "Sandwich Thursdays" this summer began in June and continues through the first week in September. Our heartfelt gratitude to the many strangers who, week after week, stop by to give their monetary donations, completely unexpected, because they believe in this ministry of food and want to support it. For Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like these children." So, come to "Sandwich Thursdays." We will be excited to welcome you! Lunch is on us!
